This logo direction is composed with two seemingly very basic shapes – the triangle and the vertical line. But however basic, these two shapes are powerful symbols in our culture: the triangle is an age-old figure of change; and the vertical line is strong and rigid, suggesting stability. Together, the abstraction of the two form an icon that we feel provides versatility for meaning and future growth. For instance, the three points of the triangle represent our goal of connecting our three key audiences as well as emphasizing the “V” shape. The lines connecting the two triangles create three-dimensionality that speaks to innovation in elevating those three key audiences – taking an old media model and evolving it to be relevant in the times of new media.
